A good preschool could mean different things, safety maybe, but that should be a given.
Or it could get disadvantaged children ready to learn reading earlier.
Poor kids are usually eight to 10 months behind wealthy kids when they start kindergarten. But there is controversy about how much effect this has, or perhaps, more accurately, how much effect it has the way some areas are doing it.
