I remembered that more than academic validation, what my child needs above all is for his mother to act like an adult. Being graded in kindergarten — or perhaps at any age — isn’t the best idea. But as my kids are learning, life is neither perfect nor fair. Report cards are part of the school system. I can’t control them, but I can control my reactions.
Okay, I’m with this mother. Those of you with young children might get a laugh out of this. Or not.
